What is On Your Bike!

On Your Bike! is a Toronto-based non-profit organization that provides bicycles to kids in need.  Origianlly founded in 2003 by APEX Public Relations, On Your Bike! began by collecting, repairing and donating bicycles to deserving children.  Today, the organization is commited to providing new bicycles to children through online nominations.

How many bicycles are given away per year?

The total number of bicycles given away is based on the number of
nominations that are received.  On Your Bike! is commited to donating 100 bicycles every year.

Why are you doing this?

Do you remember your first bike? Most of us do—and we have fond memories of all of the places we explored with it. We want to bring that same experience to kids who cannot afford a bike of their own.  We believe that riding a bike can foster a sense of independence and deliver recreation, physical activity and a sense of belonging.

Do you need cash donations? Corporate sponsors?

We are always open to discussing partnerships that allow us to give bikes to kids in need.  Please contact us at 416-924-4442 ext. 258.

Can my organization get some bikes to give away?

Please contact us and we would be happy to help out if we can.

Can my kid get a free bike?

If you feel as though your child, or a child you may know, is in need of a new bike, please fill out the nomination form under the Nominate! tab.

How are nominees assessed?

Nominees are assessed by a panel that carefully evaluates each application on an individual basis.
